Prior to Alli arriving at Goodison Park, Spurs reportedly offered him to other clubs on loan, since he was not included in Antonio Conte’s plans for this campaign. Alli was proposed to several Ligue 1 sides, while a specific club from Turkey came forward for the attacking midfielder.
“We made a deal with Tottenham for Dele Alli. They were going to give us a loan. Even his brother came to Turkey. The transfer was almost complete. At that time, when Lampard went to Everton, he broke our deal,” Sancak was quoted as saying by Milliyet.
