Joachim Andersen of Sampdoria has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur since the start of the 2017/18 season.
The north London outfit could be in the market for a new defender, especially if Toby Alderweireld decides to leave the club in the summer.
On April 23rd, Corriere dello Sport reported the Serie A outfit would be demanding €40m to part ways with the centre-back and it was also explained that Spurs are firmly in the mix.
It was also reported the Champions League semi-finalist are the only Premier League club chasing the 22-year-old.
Napoli are following the Denmark international and journalist Raffaele Auriemma has discussed the rumours linking him with Carlo Ancelotti’s side, during Radio Marte’s show ‘Si gonfia la rete’.
CalcioNapoli24 have picked up Auriemma’s comments and he claims that Andersen’s move to Mauricio Pochettino’s side was all set to be done, but his agent suggests that Tottenham would ‘not be convinced’ to spend such a ‘high amount’ of €40m to sign the Dane.
Andersen changed his agent earlier this year and is represented by Stellar Group and Auriemma believes his association with the UK based agency could be a clue the player will not be joining Napoli.
The Sampdoria star is also followed by Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid and Manchester United.
