On April 18th, we carried a report from Calciomercato, who explained that West Ham United have ‘moved in a concrete way’ for Edin Dzeko and they wanted to close the deal for the AS Roma player ‘as soon as possible’.

It was also explained that Inter Milan were chasing the former Manchester City man, but they had their own challenges to land the Bosnian in the summer.

Corriere dello Sport now once again talks about the Nerazzurri’s interest in the 33-year-old and explains they are leading the race for his signature.

The report also claims RB Leipzig have asked about Dzeko, with his agent, and are ready to meet Roma’s demand of €20m.

It’s further stated that West Ham are interested in Dzeko, who has been a long-term target for them. However, he has ‘refused’ to join the London-based club, which is why they have turned their attention towards Boca Juniors’ Darío Benedetto.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side have offered to pay €20m for the Argentine and West Ham could face competition from Roma for the 28-year-old’s signature, making the whole thing complicated.

Corriere dello Sport claims Boca Juniors sporting director Nicolás Burdisso needs £20m to give the ‘Ok’ to sanction his forward’s sale.

Fox Sports Argentina backs up the claim that West Ham are ‘interested’ in Benedetto and ‘would make an offer in the next transfer window’ for him.
