Tottenham fans had at least two interesting pieces of news to wake up to on Thursday. Firstly, there’s Danny Rose’s interview with The Sun, in which the Spurs fullback hints at a possible future transfer, and shares his worry about the club’s ability to challenge for trophies, and sign players to do so.

The same newspaper also throws in a Tottenham transfer claim, stating Mauricio Pochettino will launch a £35m offer to sign Davinson Sanchez from Ajax, as Spurs’ first signing of the summer transfer window.

Tottenham have already started talks to sign the player, and are confident of being in pole position to complete a deal for the Colombian.

All of this has of course made its way to the Netherlands, where it’s now simply being relayed, and will likely be analysed later.

However, it’s worth looking at other interest this summer. Crystal Palace were linked earlier on in the window, and are by The Sun again, and it was stated the club would need to pay €35m to get Sanchez.

That’s Ajax’s asking price, and obviously less than the £35m Tottenham are set to offer.

Tottenham going in with a first offer which is above an already high asking price? Hmm, that could be a first.
