According to claims in the Italian media Crystal Palace want to sign Ajax defender Davinson Sanchez this summer, following on from Spanish claims on Tuesday.
The young Colombian impressed for the Dutch giants last season, and has been linked with a move away from Ajax before the deadline.
TMW have claimed Crystal Palace have tabled a bid of €25m to sign Sanchez, but this has been turned down by Ajax. Crystal Palace boss Franck de Boer is said to be looking to raid his former club by targeting Sanchez, after already being linked with Kenny Tete in the past week.
However, De Boer’s former teammate Marc Overmars has, according to TMW, informed Crystal Palace they will only sell Sanchez for €35m.
De Boer will be looking to bring in a central defender this summer to fill the void left by loanee Mamadou Sakho. The Frenchman was instrumental in helping to keep the Eagles in the Premier League last season, but he’s since returned to Liverpool.
It’s rather quick for TMW to have got this claimed exclusive and an update, just a day after Sport’s own report.
