As Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked to Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni, we see interesting updates on this chase coming from the Italian media.
Journalist Daniele Longo claims Spurs are ‘very strong’ in their pursuit of the 23-year-old, and are currently in contact with his agent Tulio Tinti to ‘find a square on the figures’.
Inter Milan, meanwhile, would be willing to sell the player as long as an ‘important offer’ arrives.
The problem for Tottenham is that Bastoni is not very keen on leaving Italy this summer. It’s said he’d like to stay with the Nerazzurri, so he’d need to be convinced of making the move.
This week, when Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera claimed Tottenham ‘could soon take away’ Bastoni from Inter Milan, it was claimed that the transfer could put €60m in the Nerazzurri’s bank account.
So after signing Ivan Perisic on a free move, Spurs would need to invest heavily to land the defender.
