After being ruled with injury for almost 4 months, Tottenham Hotpsur owned Vincent Janssen has said he’s badly missed playing football, but is targeting a return against Besiktas in the Turkish Cup semi final.

Janssen is currently on loan with the Turkish giants from Tottenham.

Sporx say the 23 year old is expected to take part in first team training after the international break, and a realistic date for a return is against Besiktas on 22nd April.

The Turkish sports outlet say Janssen is very eager for a return and has reportedly told his teammates: “I really missed playing football. My injury goes better and better every day, which is a great thing. I want to get fully fit before the Besiktas game and hopefully, I can celebrate my return with a goal against them.”

Janssen’s move from Tottenham to Fenerbahce has been something of a nightmare after he injured himself at the start of December. The Netherlands international has scored just four goals since arriving in Istanbul, and is expected to return to Tottenham in the summer.

However, Janssen doesn’t seem to be in the plans of Mauricio Pochettino and may need to find a new club in the next window.
