Following the announcement that Leandro Trossard would be left out of Brighton’s squad to face Liverpool, there has been a lot of commotion surrounding the Belgian.

That’s because clubs such as Tottenham have taken an interest in the player, especially with him having just six months left on his contract at the Amex.

There have been a few stories about Spurs wanting to bolster their squad a bit more in the January transfer window, and the Belgian is an attractive option, being fully integrated in the Premier League and already excelled.

Therefore, following the statements from his agent calling out Roberto De Zerbi and urging the club to facilitate an exit, we have a bit from Belgium via Alexandre Braeckman.

The journalist states that Tottenham are expected to ‘quickly come for information’ for the player, but he then adds that because Trossard was left out due to behavioural issues, this could ‘dissuade interested clubs’.

So, we’ll have to wait and see what Fabio Paratici and Conte decide to do, but with Spurs sniffing around the situation what it is, it wouldn’t be surprising to hear about a phone call being made in the near future.

After all, Trossard could go a long way in helping Tottenham finish in the top four if he were to make the switch.
