Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly both interested in signing Porto striker Luis Diaz.

According to Portuguese outlet Mais Futebol, the Blues and Spurs have both been analysing the 24-year-old’s potential for club and country.

It’s claimed that Chelsea and Tottenham keep an eye on the player and even ‘discuss the possibility of advancing with offers’.

Mais Futebol writes that the London sides started giving the striker ‘more attention’ following his performances in the Copa America, where along with Lionel Messi, he was the competition’s top scorer with four goals.

Diaz is currently protected by Porto with a release clause worth €80m, and it isn’t said how much the Dragons would demand for his sale.

According to Mais Futebol, the player’s agents are in Europe, where they’ve been in Portugal and Spain, and are now on the way to England. It’s claimed that his transfer started ‘gaining strength’ since the representatives flew to the Old Continent.
