For a while now, we get the odd story in Italy claiming that Tottenham are interested in Mikkel Damsgaard.
The Danish forward has been thrust in the limelight by Claudio Ranieri at Sampdoria this season, and has excelled in a team doing rather well all things considered.
Spurs have been said to be ‘crazy’ about the player, who has himself explained he’s open to pretty much anything going forward.
Well, Sampdoria have plans of their own, although they know that money could change them should the right offer come in.
That’s according to Club Doria 46, who explain Damsgaard’s value is around €20m as things stand, and while owner Massimo Ferrero has no intention of selling, the growing interest from the Premier League and Serie A big guns is hard to ignore.
The website report that Tottenham are ‘always watching him with interest’, just like Juventus, but Sampdoria’s desire would be to keep him until 2022, meaning the end of next season.
Whether that happens, however, depends on a lot of things.
