According to Turkish newspaper Sozcu, Besiktas have contacted Manchester United about the availability of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Turkish newspaper claim Besiktas are looking to replace Cenk Tosun, on his way to Everton, with Ibrahimovic and are ready to make an offer to Manchester United.

Sozcu say once Tosun’s transfer to Everton or any other club has been completed, club president Fikret Orman will make an offer for Ibrahimovic, and they are ready to offer the Manchester United player a six month loan deal.

The Swedish superstar has yet to fully recover from a knee injury he picked up in April against Anderlecht, and he’s struggling to be selected ahead of Romelu Lukaku for the No.9 spot, despite the Belgian forward not being in his very best form recently.

Ibrahimovic started his first league game of the season against Burnley on Boxing Day, but Jose Mourinho brought him off at half time, after the Swede failed to make an impact in the No.10 position.

With the striker’s Manchester United contract ending in the summer, a loan would be odd, unless the Premier League club are required to continue paying a wage percentage.
