When Sandro Ramirez moved to Real Sociedad in the summer window it seemed a reasonable move for the him and Everton, given there weren’t a lot of options available for the former Malaga player.
There’d been lots of rumours of interest but when it came to do something about it, not many had come forward to attempt even a loan deal for Sandro.
Real Sociedad was a good opportunity but it was unlikely the Everton owned man could force his way past Willian Jose, so he’d either have to hope for chances or that a system could be used where the pair play together.
Sandro hasn’t yet played a minute for La Real, missing the Eibar match with a muscular injury.
But, hope came with an injury to Willian Jose. The groin issue is expected to see the Brazilian out for the month, presenting an opportunity for Sandro to shine and Everton to hope for a transfer fee at some point in the future.
Predictably, fate may be set to hit that. Mundo Deportivo report Sandro picked up a knock in training on Monday and on Tuesday he had to abandon the session with things looking glum.
Everton will have their fingers crossed whilst keeping an eye on the situation.
