Tuesday’s edition of AS had an article on the future of AS, stating Real Madrid were now open to a loan, and had ‘three firm offers’, from AS Roma, Inter Milan and AC Milan.
They then published an online article bringing Manchester United into the picture, but made it very clear the interest from Old Trafford was ‘less intense’ and the club was the ‘most remote’ option.
Later they published a second online article which stated Manchester United had made contact with Madrid about the player, however, they’d also made contact with Edinson Cavani’s entourage and he was the ‘preferred one’ for the Red Devils.
AS have now returned and this time things sound much more optimistic. They state Jovic ‘approaches’ Manchester United and negotiations on Tuesday afternoon have seen considerable advances in the potential move.
The Italian options are still there, but the Premier League club ‘seduces’ the striker more than the others.
Manchester United are described as being the ‘best placed’ club to sign Jovic.
