Porto’s effort to sell a few of their players takes a few pages in the Portuguese press today. A Bola and Record both have stories on the matter, and the club need these departures to find a financial balance.
One of the names mentioned on the list is obviously Bruno Martins Indi, who Stoke City will not give up on. The Potters have missed the deadline to buy the player for their €10m option, after his loan spell in England, but the Premier League club are still keen to have him.
A Bola’s story doesn’t have huge updates on the situation, but it’s interesting that they mention other figures. They say that €8m is the current amount being discussed by the clubs, a 20% discount that maybe could make the difference for Stoke.
A few days ago, the Portuguese press claimed that Martins Indi was in Porto’s plans for next season. But considering the rush to sell players, it seems money will be more important this summer.
That can only help Stoke City.
