Antoine Griezmann to Manchester United almost certainly isn’t going to go away before the summer transfer window. The rumour is an obvious one and has been around for several months, fuelled by Paul Pogba’s open and close friendship with the Atletico Madrid player, and the long held thought that Antoine Greizmann is a Manchester United fan.

Add to that a relatively reasonable buyout clause of €100m and Griezmann to Manchester United makes so much sense that reports of it are routine.

Spanish newspaper AS have a quick look at the situation on Tuesday and they say after Griezmann scored at the weekend he could be seen to say, as part of his celebration, and of course in Spanish: “This is my house, here!”

AS believe it was a reference of commitment, but the match was away at Athletic Club Bilbao so it may have been more a dig to the club he was playing against, given that Girezmann used to play for Athletic rivals Real Sociedad.

The player’s actual brother, Theo, is openly a huge Manchester United fan, and AS believe he’s given another wink towards a possible transfer, by praising the club on Twitter recently.

This story is only likely to snowball between now and the summer, unless Griezmann publicly rules out any interest in joining Manchester United.
