Southampton linked forward Saman Ghoddos has told the Swedish media his plan is get a transfer in the summer.

The Östersund forward has been linked with a move to the Premier League with Southampton one of those clubs showing an interest.

In an interview with Fotboll Direkt, Ghoddos was quizzed about recent interest in him: “The goal is to move this summer. It’s the best window, but there’s no stress either. What happens, happens.”

Last month Southampton sent a scout to the Emirates to watch Arsenal take on OFK in the Europa League, with reports they were watching Ghoddos.

The Iran international has been a revelation in the competition this season, and was one of the standout players in OFK’s 2-1 victory over Arsenal.

Any move for Ghoddos in the summer is likely to depend on Southampton retaining their Premier League status, with the Saints currently in the bottom three.

West Ham United, West Bromwich Albion, Crystal Palace and Leicester City are also reportedly interested in the 24 year old.
