Galatasaray have put Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters on their transfer list and want to move for him this month.
That’s according to TRT Spor, who report that the Turkish side are open to paying a fee for the Southampton defender.
They report that Galatasaray are making a move to add to their right-back options before the end of the window and are interested in Southampton’s Kyle Walker-Peters as a result.
He’s been added to their radar, and they want to add the 27-year-old to their options ‘with a transfer fee’.
That’s as much as TRT Sport offer on the matter, so they don’t mention what price Galatasaray would be looking to pay for the defender. There’s also no mention of whether Southampton would be willing to let him go.
For reference, Transfermarkt currently value Walker-Peters at €20m. Crucially, though, his contract expires this summer.
Southampton therefore need to sell this month to avoid losing him on a free. They’re very unlikely to get anything near €20m, though, given Walker-Peters can sign a pre-contract agreement this month.
We would assume Galatasaray are looking at a cut-price deal because of his contract situation and we’re sure those details will be forthcoming before too long.
