De Telegraaf continue to report that signing Dusan Tadic is an aim and a possibility for Ajax this summer.
It all started when Southampton looked like they were on the verge of relegation, and that would have made things easier for the Dutch club.
But Mark Hughes managing to save Southampton hasn’t made the claims go away and stories continue to pop up every week or so in De Telegraaf.
Monday’s edition of the Dutch newspaper reports that Tadic remains an aim as Ajax prepare to sell Hakim Ziyech, likely to AS Roma.
Whilst a deal to bring Zakaria Labyad from Utrecht is thought to be close, the ‘big fish’ signing of Tadic is still on the agenda.
It’s explained that Tadic looks on the move with good eyes, attracted by the possibility to fight for the Eredivisie title and play in European competition.
Yet again there’s no potential transfer fee mentioned, and that could be where this one wobbles, and also when Tadic finds out the size of pay-cut he’d likely have to take.
