Inter Milan continue to follow the situation of Jan Vertonghen of Tottenham Hotspur, according to Turin newspaper Tuttosport.

The outlet brings a story saying the Nerazzurri are working on two fronts to sign defenders in the upcoming transfer window.

One of them is Marash Kumbulla, whose signing must be disputed with Juventus, Lazio and other clubs from outside of Italy.

The other one is Vertonghen, who’s seen as an easier target since his contract with Spurs expires at the end of the season.

Vertonghen is seen by Inter Milan as a potential replacement for Diego Godin, who could leave after only one season at the club. They’d be changing one experienced defender for another.

Since Kumbulla and Vertonghen are players of different profiles, there’s a chance Inter Milan could go for both of them.

Even though the Tottenham defender seems to attract smaller competition, he certainly won’t be short of offers once his contract runs out.
