Tottenham Hotspur have really got into gear in the transfer window, even if it took the club a while to do so.

Davinson Sanchez is on his way to Tottenham from Ajax, after a few days of tough negotiations between the two clubs.

Despite much posturing from the Dutch side, they went back to their original stance of wanting just over €40m to sell the 21 year old to Tottenham.

Ajax have released an official statement confirming Sanchez is going to Tottenham for an initial fee of €40m, something which could rise to €42m. Those figures are less than many being reported, but they’re official and straight from the Eredivisie club.

With that one done, Juan Foyth could be next. On Friday morning Sport Witness covered claims from Argentina that Tottenham had swooped in at the last minute and beaten PSG’s offer.

Given that Foyth much preferred the option to join Tottenham, it left the French club without a deal.

And now, according to Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, of TyC Sports, Estudiantes have agreed to sell Foyth to Tottenham, with the defender agreeing a five year contract.

Contracts are currently being prepared.

That backs up earlier El Dia claims that Tottenham would likely be the 19 year old’s destination.

The same Argentine newspaper report that Foyth has been at training on Friday. That will be his goodbye to Estudiantes, if El Dia are correct, because he’s expected to complete a move to Tottenham ‘in the coming hours’.
