The Italian transfer rumour media is huge, probably bigger than any other country. Most clubs have several websites dedicated to them, and it’s no different for AS Roma.
When there’s a story related to the Rome club, a good place for updates is Giallorossi.net, so we had a glance at their website this evening.
They’re giving big prominence to a claim from another Roma site that Chelsea have now come to an agreement to sign Edin Dzeko and Emerson Palmieri.
Pagine Romaniste report Chelsea and Roma have reached an outline over the transfers of Emerson Palmieri and Edin Dzeko. The transfers are ‘being closed’ and ‘the two clubs have found agreement for both players on the basis of €50m’.
There’s still bonuses being discussed, but the way it’s presented that won’t be a deal breaker.
Agents are said to be at work to close the deal and complete the transfers, and it’s stated the ‘final acceleration’ is likely to come at the beginning of the week.
This seems a natural follow on from other reports in Italy which presented an Emerson transfer as very close indeed, and a Dzeko switch as being very possible. Therefore, it could be true, or the Roma website trying to appear to know more than they do.
