The Colombian press continues to report that Watford are closing a deal to let Camilo Zuniga move to Atletico Nacional.

The first reports showed up on Thursday, with Caracol claiming that both clubs were very close to finding an agreement.

And this Friday, Antena 2 says Atletico Nacional have already received a document from Watford authorising the player to make the move.

The negotiations have advanced ‘in the past few hours’, and the Hornets have sent a ‘letter of medical authorisation’ so the player can make the transfer.

Zuniga is set to join Atletico Nacional on a permanent move, although it’s still not clear if the Colombian side will be paying a compensation fee to Watford or not.

A few months ago, most people didn’t even knew Zuniga was still a Watford player. After a loan spell for the Hornets, the fullback was supposed to return to Napoli, but he’s recently revealed that he was actually bought by the Premier League side.

The Colombian international, however, has been sidelined for over seven months due to a knee injury.
