Richarlison wants to stay at Tottenham in January and fight for a place under Ange Postecoglou before then reassessing his future in the summer.

That’s according to journalist Saisa Simplicio, who says a move is not on the cards in January despite reports to the contrary.

Richarlison has found himself out of the picture again at Tottenham this season, with a series of injuries also limiting his impact on the pitch.

That’s led to increasing reports he could be set for a return to Brazil, with both Flamengo and Palmeiras keen and reported to be working on moves for him.

Richarlison has reportedly made it clear he is open to the idea of a return to his homeland, the idea being to get himself back in form and in the spotlight for the Brazilian national team.

However, early optimism has been met with harsh reality, with various outlets and journalists pushing back on the early claims and making it clear that Richarlison’s preference would be to remain in England first. There’s also the small matter of finances making a deal to get him from Tottenham difficult for any Brazilian side.

Simplicio now reports that, according to her information, Richarlison wants to stay at Tottenham and regain his place under Postecoglou.

If he doesn’t succeed in this between now and the end of the season, he’s willing to evaluate a return to Brazilian football. For now, though, the idea is to remain in London and fight for his place.

Now, we would point out that this is the latest of many conflicting and changing reports around Richarlison at this moment in time. That would suggest a number of parties doing different things and potentially getting themselves involved and there will be plenty of twists and different information in the coming weeks as a result.
