Rangers are reportedly keen on the signing of Sporting midfielder Miguel Luís.

As reported by Portuguese newspaper O Jogo today, Steven Gerrard’s side have already shown their interest in getting the player on a loan deal at Ibrox until the end of the season.

The possibility is being analysed by Sporting president Frederico Varandas, and the outlet claim there’s a real chance that an agreement could be found.

Lions manager Silas is said not to be against the player’s exit to Rangers, since he doesn’t see him as an important piece of the squad for the rest of the season.

Miguel Luís has only seven appearances for Sporting this season so far, and hasn’t even made it to the match-day squad in the latest fixtures of the Portuguese league.

O Jogo doesn’t have any information about how this deal would be made, but knowing Sporting, we’d expect them to add a few clauses to make the move permanent, always keeping the percentage for a future sale.

There’s a chance for Steven Gerrard to get this one over the line for Rangers.
