Tuesday morning sees fresh claims from Germany on Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Sadio Mane.
The Bundesliga side have been trying to secure the Liverpool player for weeks, already making two offers which have been rejected by the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are thought to be looking for €40m+, and Bayern don’t want to pay that, especially given there’s only a year of contract left. Bild now report a third attempt is on the way.
Hasan Salihamidzic, who is in charge of transfer at the German giants, and who is seemingly very fond of himself, has decided that he’ll turn his full attention to Mane this week.
The new offer will be handed to Liverpool ‘quickly’, in the hope of agreeing a deal ‘quickly’. There’s a lot of ‘quickly’ going on.
Bayern will now present €35m as an initial payment, plus a further €5m in potential bonuses.
Given the 30-year-old has already reached an agreement on a three year deal with his potential new club, Bayern have been trying to use this to pressure Liverpool. The great unsaid has been that Mane could move for free a year from now.
Despite that, the Reds have stood firm and this €40m offer (when bonuses are included) sounds like a good one. Bild agree, and they say it ‘should lead to an agreement’ with the Merseyside club.
These claims aren’t in Bild’s Tuesday newspaper, so it seems like there’s been developments this morning.
