In not so groundbreaking news, Mauricio Pochettino isn’t going to leave Tottenham to manage Paris Saint-Germain next season.

That’s, at least, what Le10 Sport are reporting on Friday, following up on the large exposés the likes of Le Parisien and L’Equipe have pushed over the past few days in their Champions League post-mortem.

With Unai Emery all but out of a job come the end of the current campaign, the focus is now on who will replace him, which is where the Pochettino links came in.

After all, the Argentinian knows the club, having played there briefly between 2001-2003, and the football he plays is both appealing and, most of the time, efficient.

However, the French website reveal that after ‘discreetly enquiring’ about him to Daniel Levy, the Ligue 1 leaders were told kindly but firmly where to go by the Tottenham chairman.

PSG received ‘very clear information’ from Levy about their chances.

With no intention of seeing Pochettino, under contract until 2021, go, the British businessman has closed the door (for now) regarding a managerial exit in the summer.

That means Paris Saint-Germain are going to have to look elsewhere
