Bruno Lage had this week his first training sessions in charge of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Even though the staff of the new manager wasn’t officially unveiled by the club, we now see the Portuguese media doing that job just by checking a few pictures published by the Molineux side.
It’s outlet Mais Futebol who today features a story explaining all officials who will work with Lage this season, highlighting the fact that his brother is one of them.
Luis Nascimento worked for a long time at Benfica between 2005 and 2019, and when Bruno Lage left the position as Carlos Carvalhal’s assistant, it was him who joined the manager at Rio Ave.
Now the brothers are back together at Wolves.
The other assistant coach is Alexandre Silva, who had the same job at Benfica already.
Mais Futebol adds that the new physical coach at the Molineux is Carlos Machada, who had been with Lage at Al Ahli between 2012 and 2014.
He has some experience in English football by working at Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest.
The last Portuguese official in the staff is Jhony Conceição, who worked with Lage at Al Ahli, Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea City.
He had been his scout at Benfica and should have the same job at Wolves.
The report points out that goalkeeping coach Tony Roberts, who isn’t in the pictures divulged by the club, will be in the staff as well.
He’s worked with Lage at Swansea City, and also had experiences at Wales’ national team, Hebei FC and Birmingham.
