On Monday, Betis left-back Riza Durmisi published a picture on Instagram which left some of his club’s fans worried. With a caption saying “New changes, excited to work with HCM 🤙🏽”, it sounded like a move could be on the way for the summer.
Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo has a story about it today, explaining that despite not being a priority sale for the club, Durmisi could still make a very good profit for Betis.
Schalke, Rome, Southampton, and Liverpool are linked and all of those clubs would be able to pay a reasonable fee.
The player has a €20m release clause, but an offer of around €14m could end up being enough for the club to sell.
It’s Roma who are said to be leading the race, with the strongest interest in the player. Then come the other clubs who have made contacts: Schalke, Liverpool and Southampton.
There are no big updates on the talks from Southampton or Liverpool. But Durmisi’s post has made the local press alert, and maybe Betis will have to start looking for another left-back soon.
