Arsenal’s chase for Piotr Zielinski seems to be a cayse of worry at Napoli.
Even though the Serie A side plan to renew the midfielder’s contract this summer, the Gunners are considered be a threat as they’re expected to attempt to sign the 23-year-old before that.
It’s local newspaper Corriere Del Mezzogiorno who reports it, saying Napoli have been negotiating a new deal with the player’s entourage for weeks now.
The problem is that Arsenal’s approaches continue to be listened by Zielinski, who feels ‘tempted’ to join the London side in the summer.
Corriere Del Mezzogiorno claims that the Gunners ‘seem willing’ to pay for player’s €65m release clause, giving Napoli no chance to say no to the bid.
The player has been linked to a couple of Premier League clubs this season, and when Liverpool were preparing an assault, Corriere Dello Sport claimed that the full release clause would need to be paid.
So maybe Arsenal are already aware of that.
