Greek website SportDog.Gr report Nottingham Forest Barrie McKay’s possible transfer to Olympiacos might not happen because of the player’s reservations about the move.

Yesterday it was reported in the Greek media Olympiacos were becoming frustrated with the Nottingham Forest player.

It’s claimed McKay travelled to Greece for his medical but the player is currently having doubts about the situation in Greek football.

Last season saw a troubled league campaign and AEK won the title, but incidents happened between the triangle of AEK, Olympiacos and PAOK. One included PAOK president Ivan Savvidis entering the pitch during a game with AEK.

SportDog say Olympiacos are currently considering alternatives such as Liverpool’s Lazar Markovic if they fail to convince the Nottingham Forest man.

McKay came very close to signing for the Greek club but it seems his move from Nottingham Forest hangs in the balance at the moment.

The Scottish winger enjoyed a decent season at the City Ground where he made 26 appearances, scoring 5 goals.
