Vitesse goalkeeper Eloy Room has told the Dutch media he’s still received no real interest from other clubs.

There have been recent reports in the Netherlands the 28 year old it trying to force a move away from the Dutch side, with Everton his likeliest destination.

Soccer News have reported on comments Room made when asked about the interest from other clubs: “I’ve read the stories about the interest from foreign clubs, but lately I said that there was no real interest. I’m only focusing on Vitesse, and I’m feeling good again.”

Last weekend Room sat out the Dutch Super Cup between Vitesse and Feyenoord due to illness, but this has been questioned in the Dutch press. We covered reports from De Gelderlander, who suggested Room wanted to leave Vitesse, and that Everton was the club he would likely join.

Everton have been linked with Room in recent weeks, and with the uncertainly over the future of Joel Robles, Ronald Koeman may bring his compatriot as 3rd choice goalkeeper.

Despite the goalkeeper’s comments, speculation over a transfer to England is likely to continue throughout the window. Everton have been repeatedly linked in the Netherlands over the past couple of weeks or so, and are alone in that respect.
