On Tuesday, Yeni Asir reported Giovani Lo Celso wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur and that Galatasaray have taken action to sign him before the end of the window.
The winter market in Turkey closes on Friday and Akşam now provide fresh updates on the Istanbul club’s late attempt to sign the 27-year-old.
He’s clocked in 514 minutes from 12 games for Tottenham this season, managing two goals and two assists in the process.
It’s said ‘negotiations continue’ between Tottenham and Galatasaray for the Argentina international. The midfielder is ‘preparing to say goodbye’ to Ange Postecoglou’s side and is ‘positive’ about joining the Turkish club.
Lo Celso hasn’t enjoyed regular game time this season and that’s partly due to injuries. He’s been sidelined with a muscle injury for a month, which is the second setback he’s suffered this season.
According to Akşam, Tottenham are ready to part ways with the South American and he wants to join a club where he can get regular game time. If Galatasaray agree to a deal with Spurs, the player can arrive in Istanbul soon.
