Back in January, Manchester United were repeatedly linked to Lille defender Leny Yoro.

The Red Devils were named as one of the main contenders to sign the youngster, with claims saying he could cost as much as €90m.

Today, as Lille manager Paulo Fonseca spoke to the local media, RMC Sport brings some good quotes from the manager regarding the Manchester United target.

The manager claimed that with the player being the subject of transfer gossip, he should keep his focus and continue working to get a big move in the future.

“Perhaps it’s not easy for a young player, who arrives at this moment very quickly. I’ve spoken to the player, and I think the main thing is that he stays focused on what he has to do this season,” said Fonseca.

“He has to continue to be balanced and humble, that’s the main thing. I think he is. He’s still playing well. In the end, we’ll see. If he wants to have the chance to play at another level, he has to continue like this, doing things well.”

Besides Manchester United, the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool have also been linked to Leny Yoro.

With the French media insisting that an ‘excessive sum’ is needed, though, Manchester United better be prepared to spend big.
