Aftonbladet have claimed AIK are getting ‘closer’ to getting an agreement with Hull City midfielder Sebastian Larsson.
The Sweden international’s Hull City contract expires next month and the player has been linked with a move back to his home country.
In recent weeks Larsson has been linked with a move to Stockholm, with AIK one of the clubs keen to sign the 32 year old.
The Swedish club’s sporting director Björn Wesström has confirmed their interest in the Hull City player: “You hear stuff… But it’s clear there is a player of interest to us. If that means we proceed or agree we do not know.”
Larsson has never played for a Swedish club after spending his entire career in England and it seems Hull City could be the last English club he plays for.
There have been reports the Championship side have offered the player a contract extension, but it looks likely he will be playing in the Allsvenskan.
Swedish Cup winners Djurgarden have also been linked with Larsson.
