Brighton & Hove Albion have looked at Fiorentina’s Nicolás González in the past and he’s back again on their agenda for the summer window.
Three days ago, TuttoMercatoWeb stated the Seagulls will try to sign him again, after previously seeing their €27m bid turned down by the Serie A side.
It was also explained that Brighton will need the 26-year-old’s approval, since he refused to accept a move to Brentford.
Saturday’s Gazzetta dello Sport highlights Brighton’s interest when discussing Fiorentina’s plans for the next window.
With regards to exits, it’s claimed there’s a market for few of their players, with González ‘above all’.
Roberto De Zerbi’s side are ‘always interested’ in the winger. The Italian club feel he ‘could fly to Brighton’ or another Premier League side, where clubs are ready to snatch the Argentina international.
It’s further claimed Fiorentina will need an ‘appropriate offer’, but there’s no mention of the fee or the range that’s needed to convince them. They also don’t indicate if the player is open to making a switch to England.
González has scored 11 goals and registered four assists from 35 games this season.
