Pedro Caixinha target Daniel Candeias is signing for Rangers today, according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.
The winger is expected to take his medical this afternoon and sign a two year contract with the Ibrox side, with an option to extend for a further one.
The newspaper claims Rangers will be paying Benfica €800k for the deal, and Candeias is the fourth Portuguese player to join the club in this transfer window. Dálcio, Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso signed first.
Rangers have beat competition from Alanyaspor, the club where Candeias spent the last season on loan. As Candeias’ agent told Sport Witness, the Turkish side had the intention to renew the deal, but it seems they weren’t able to convince Benfica.
Rangers keep moving early in the transfer market, and Caixinha has wasted no time before bringing new faces to Ibrox.
