Liverpool are one of the clubs wanting to sign Real Madrid’s Rodrygo in the summer, according to reports.
On Tuesday, journalist Pepe Brasín told AS the winger is going to leave the La Liga side for a team in England, for ‘more than €40m’.
Sport have also backed it up by stating Los Blancos will sell him to the Premier League for €40m in the summer. However, neither of them have mentioned any English clubs in their reports.
Fichajes.net provides more details on this topic and explain the Reds are one of the sides that want to sign the 21-year-old, who has managed two goals and seven assists this season.
The Brazil international has largely operated on the right wing, a position that is occupied by Mohamed Salah at the Merseyside club. His contract at Anfield expires in 2023 and with no agreement in sight, he continues to be linked with a move to Barcelona.
If the ex-Chelsea man were to leave Liverpool after this season, then they could make an approach for Rodrygo. It’s claimed the South American is an ‘option Jurgen Klopp likes a lot’, mainly because of his ability to adapt to the German coach’s brand of football.
On top of that, it’s explained the player could also provide back-up for Salah, should he stay.
With AS and Sport stating Rodrygo will leave Real Madrid, and Fichajes.net explaining Klopp is keen on the player, a deal could be carried out in the next window.
