Samuel Illing Junior will undergo medical tests with Aston Villa today, with Enzo Barrenechea set to follow him and have his medical tomorrow.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say the pieces are falling into place for the deal involving Douglas Luiz going the other way.
The newspaper explains that Luiz is set to be Thiago Motta’s first signing as Juventus director of football, with a deal now closed between the Italians and Aston Villa on a cash plus players proposal.
Once both of those have been completed the Juventus duo will sign their deals with Aston Villa, freeing Douglas Luiz to do the same with Juventus.
He’s currently on international duty with Brazil and will undergo his medical tests with Juventus in the United States before completing his move from Aston Villa.
The process is well underway regardless, with Illing Junior undergoing his medical at Aston Villa today, Barrenechea’s planned for tomorrow and Luiz’s planned in due course.
