Toulouse’s Logan Costa has ended up on the agenda of Nottingham Forest, Fulham and an unnamed Premier League club.
The centre-back has managed a goal and an assist from 36 games this season. The Ligue 1 side won the Coupe de France last season and he scored a brace in the final against FC Nantes.
L’Equipe state Costa’s displays this season has seen him receive interest from several European clubs, including Nottingham Forest and Fulham.
It’s claimed ‘a big transfer is looming for him’ in the summer window, and the 23-year-old would have options to pick from, if he were to leave the French club.
Atlético Madrid have set their sights on the Cape Verde international, while Villarreal have sent an official to follow him live in action for Toulouse.
From England, Nottingham Forest and Fulham have shown interest. L’Equipe say the two clubs have made enquiries, without making it clear if it was with Toulouse, Costa’s camp or both.
As well as the Reds and Marco Silva’s side, another English club, who played in Europe this season, are on the verge of positioning themselves in the transfer race. L’Equipe didn’t disclose the name of the third club, but it could be Brighton or West Ham.
Costa’s deal lasts until 2026 and with a summer exit on cards, the report states Toulouse are aiming for a club-record fee, exceeding €20m. The current record is held by Issa Diop, who was sold to West Ham United for €25m [bonuses included] in 2018.
