Mitchell Dijks has had a great start to his career with Norwich City. A late equalising goal against Wigan Athletic has filled the player full of confidence, and he obviously seems very happy about the situation.
After the goal, Dijks took to Instagram and posted a video of the header, whilst also adding a message about what confidence can do for a footballer.
Soccer News in the Netherlands believe it’s a ‘sneer’ at Ajax manager Peter Bosz, with them believing the Norwich player is suggesting that Bosz didn’t give him the confidence he needed to perform well.
Dijks was a used member of Bosz’s squad at Ajax this season, but was probably frustrated to only start 8 Eredivisie matches in the first half of the season, hence his loan move to Norwich City.
Given it’s only a loan, Dijks probably doesn’t want to burn his bridges, and perhaps the Dutch media are looking a little too deeply into this one.
