Unless you’ve been living under a rock somewhere, you’ll be aware that Newcastle United, at least in the mind of the European media, have an interest in Victor Osimhen.

Currently at Napoli, the Nigerian is expected to be a target for a number of Premier League sides in the summer, with the Magpies chief among them.

That’s what Corriere della Sera have been reporting, relayed by Torino Granata, as they state that a club ‘would be ready to put €60m on the plate’ for the Napoli star.

Not only that, but it’s then explained that ‘Newcastle above all’ would be that particular side.

Previous reports have suggested that Napoli would want a bit more than that, with quotes of €100m being talked about, and Aurelio De Laurentiis a man known not to undersell his most valuable assets.

As is widely known, money shouldn’t be an issue for the St James’ Park side if they stay up in the Premier League, and with the form they are currently in under Eddie Howe, that’s looking more and more possible.

Furthermore, it’s added that either Gianluca Scamacca or the soon-to-be free agent Andrea Belotti could be replacements for Osimhen, meaning Napoli are already planning a potential exit.
