Tiemoué Bakayoko’s social media games were funny at first, then became mildly irritating, a bit too attention seeking, and, finally on Friday night, a little odd.

The midfielder is obviously very excited about his potential transfer to London, and all the attention it’s brought him both from media and fans. Bakayoko has this week let everyone know he’s England bound, but kept the possibly open that Manchester United could swoop in and steal the deal, playing on the Romelu Lukaku situation.

On Friday night, when Bakayoko was supposed to be a Chelsea player, he changed his profile picture back to him wearing an AS Monaco shirt. Not only that, he made sure nobody failed to noticed, and tweeted the change as an announcement, more tweets followed suggesting there’s something wrong with his Chelsea move.

In their Saturday edition L’Equipe explain that whilst everything should get sorted out, there’s an agent mess which threatens to kill the deal. When he arrived in London on Thursday, Bakayoko was met by Kia Joorabchian, who took him out for dinner with Willian and David Luiz.

But since then further agents have come into the picture, and that’s the fault of Bakayoko’s entourage.

The French newspaper say that during negotiations, the player’s camp brought agents in to help the deal along, and now they of course want their slice of the Chelsea cake.

L’Equipe blame it all on the ‘negligence and flippancy’ of the player’s entourage.

Bakayoko’s medical threw up no problems, according to the French newspaper, and now it’s in everyone’s interest to get things done.

Whilst more agents than usual may want, and may be due, a slice of the cake, there’ll be no cake if the Chelsea deal collapses.
