Jose Mourinho is a new man. Leaving behind the grumpy figure he was throughout much of his period in charge of Manchester United, the Portuguese manager is seemingly enjoying life more at Tottenham.
With less wall-to-wall coverage and pressure, Mourinho appears much happier in himself, taking to Instagram to show a lighter side, and generally calming down a little.
That approach has seen his Tottenham side top of the table after ten Premier League matches, and whilst he’s been talking down Spurs’ chancing of winning the trophy that will undoubtedly be his aim.
With the January window on the horizon, the club are being linked to various options, and Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini covers a couple today.
In a column for Tuttomercatoweb, he says: ‘The Tottenham hypothesis has emerged for Khedira. The English club is turning a lot of its attention to Serie A. In fact, one of Mourinho’s goals is always Skriniar. After the attempt made in the last market session, the idea would be to try again now in January.’
Milan Skriniar also brings some experience but obviously wouldn’t be free, and Ceccarini explains a lot will depend on Inter Milan’s demands. Should they want to invest in the January window, with Antonio Conte always keen on signings, then the defender may well be sacrificed to provide the required funds.
