According to Haber Global’s Galatasaray journalist Berk Gol, Galatasaray remain interested in signing Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin.
A few days ago, we covered initial reports from Turkey that Galatasaray have made a €1m loan offer to the Merseyside club for the French midfielder, and Gol says the Super Lig have now ‘accelerated’ contacts to sign the player.
Schneiderlin is expected to leave Everton this summer with Marco Silva having other options in midfield, and Galatasaray could be his next destination.
It’s been well documented in the Turkish press that Gala want to bring another midfielder this summer after recently signing Fulham’s Jean Michael Seri on a season long loan deal. This summer the Istanbul side have lost central midfielders Badou Ndiaye and Fernando.
The 28 year old’s career has gone backwards since signing for Manchester United and he could make a fresh start in Turkey by playing for Galatasaray in the Champions League.
Schneiderlin’s contract with Everton will expire at the end of June 2021 but there’s a good chance he won’t see this out.
