Hull City manager Marco Silva is reportedly interested in signing Sporting left-back Jefferson for the Tigers.
As reported by A Bola today, Silva has already worked with the player at Estoril and Sporting, and now would like to count on him one more time.
Jefferson hasn’t been much used by the Portuguese side and has only eight appearances for the club this season.
A Bola claim the Lions would see this Premier League move with good eyes, although the player has a contract running until 2020 with a €45m release clause.
Sporting have been looking to get rid of Jefferson for a while now. During the last summer, it was reported they would go for Everton’s Bryan Oviedo if they managed to sell the Brazilian.
It’s not mentioned how much they would demand for the player, but considering he’s not used and Hull City aren’t considered one of the ‘sharks’, as the Portuguese press always say, the transfer shouldn’t cost too much.
