Mauricio Pochettino is high on the wish list of the biggest clubs in football because of what he’s achieved at Tottenham Hotspur.

Whilst Spurs may not have managed to secure an elusive trophy win, it would be misleading to have that distract from Pochettino’s run at the club.

One of the clubs most linked with the Argentine manager is Real Madrid, but Marca and others in the Spanish media have repeatedly pointed out how hard such a move would be.

The Spanish newspaper are almost fearful of Daniel Levy on behalf of Real Madrid and state the Tottenham strongman is determined to keep Pochettino in place at Spurs.

Dubbing the manager Tottenham’s ‘architect’, Marca state a renewal offer has been made by Levy to Pochettino.

That would make Real Madrid’s life even more difficult should they wish the manager to replace Zinedine Zidane in the summer.

There’s often similar reporting in Spain on the Harry Kane situation, with any Madrid interest always tempered by the fact it would be difficult to deal with Levy and Tottenham.

For this reason, Marca have dubbed Levy a ‘star of the market’.
