Manchester United’s chase for Juventus defender Gleison Bremer was again mentioned in the Italian media today.

This time, the words come from TV Play, with journalist Paolo Bargiggia bringing the latest on the Old Lady’s transfer market.

In quotes brought by Calcio Mercato, the pundit pointed out that Manchester United have two ways to take Bremer from Juventus.

“The clause exists, but it can be removed by putting more money on the player’s salary. However, Giuntoli doesn’t want to sell him,” said Bargiggia.

“Juve will do another operation on the external lanes, they really like Greenwood. On loan would be a possible operation.”

Bargiggia’s statements seem similar to those done by journalist Alfredo Pedulla a couple of weeks ago. He had said that despite Bremer’s release clause, which is between €60m and €70m, that possibility could be postponed for 2025 if Juventus give the player a €500k pay raise.

That would be a fair solution for the Old Lady in case they believe the player can be sold for more. And it would be no big surprise, as claims in the Italian media had already said that the Bianconeri would like to make €80m with his sale.

So it seems that including Mason Greenwood in the deal could be a good way forward for all parties, especially with Manchester United not preparing for him to return to the club.
