Manchester United have struggled to find the back of the net regularly in the league, scoring 18 goals from 18 games this season.

The Red Devils have failed to score in the last four games and it wouldn’t be surprising if they were to look for options to bolster their attack next month.

Calciomercato journalist Eleonora Trotta took to X, formerly Twitter, to state Manchester United are looking at Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee.

She claims Premier League sides are ‘pressing’ to sign the 22-year-old, and ‘at the moment’, it’s Manchester United who have set the tone for a potential deal.

Zirkzee has managed eight goals and four assists from 19 games this season and has a €40m release clause. Trotta adds this can only be activated with the Dutchman’s consent.

Apart from Zirkzee, the English club side have identified PSV Eindhoven’s Johan Bakayoko as another target for the attack.

That’s according to Sport1 journalist Christopher Michel, who say Erik ten Hag’s side have their eyes set on the 20-year-old Belgian. Michel adds his market value is around €40m.

Operating on the right wing, Bakayoko has managed four goals and 13 assists from 27 games this season.
