Manchester United are currently preparing for the busy schedule they have in the coming weeks, as there are five games to be played before the 1st of January.

That’s why it’s a little surprising to check the Argentine media and see that one of their players is actually watching training sessions at another club.

Marcos Rojo visited his former side Estudiantes de La Plata on Friday, and his arrival at their training centre was revealed by the club’s social media.

Outlets such as Cielosports are covering the news, claiming he barely got off the plane and went straight to the El Picha’s facilities. They say he’s recovering from a muscle injury.

Even though many Estudiantes fans dream of Rojo’s return, Cielosports writes that the defender’s plan is to spend Christmas and New Year in Argentina, then return to Manchester United to fight for a place in the team.

However, given he’s been allowed to travel to Argentina, and been seen at his former club, transfer rumours will clearly be encouraged.

Besides starting his career at Estudiantes, Rojo also had a loan spell at the club this year. Due to injuries and the Coronavirus pandemic, he was only able to make one appearance before being called back by the Red Devils in the summer.
