Manchester United have been scouting Verona this season, which has led the club to be linked with Marash Kumbulla.
There’s been several reports in recent weeks stating the Old Trafford side and several others from the Premier League are keen on the defender. The 20 year old was born in Italy but is an Albania international, and his progress has also attracted interest from other clubs in Serie A.
Given the interest in Kumbulla, it makes sense for Manchester United to repeatedly scout Verona matches, however, Calciomercato believe another player at the same club has caught their eye.
That’s Matteo Pessina, who is on loan at Verona from Atalanta. He moved in the summer, and several reports from Italy at the time claimed there’s a right to buy in the deal.
Verona could therefore sign the 22 year old midfielder permanently in the summer, and potentially then make a profit in the same window.
Calciomercato don’t elaborate on Manchester United’s interest, just state that the scout sent on a mission to watch Kumbulla is now also following Pessina.
